A beautiful cottage.  We stayed from l9th - 26th December 2008. A generous set of groceries welcomed us as did Amelia herself.  Full central heating meant no need to light a fire.  A classy retreat with everything required to make the experience special. Lot's of candle light if soft/romantic lighting is needed. A wonderful scenic drive below the cottage along the shores of Lough Corrib. All the most interesting places in Connemara are easily reached from Oughterard; Clifden, Westport, Delphi, the Burren, Roundstone.   Ameia's cottage provides a week's worth of itineraries in written format. An absolute 'perfect place.'
